The little Ballerina Swan and Flamingo

This pattern has 6 pages of photos, and written instructions so you can do it quickly.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Skills used: Basic knit stitch, increases, decreases, knitting in the round, basic embroidery skills.

Note: Since it is knitted in the round, there's no messy seaming, special for somebody who don't love to sew.

Materials:
1.     Swan: 8 ply weight acrylic white, pink, silver/grey and scrap black yarn. (I have used Moda Vera Marvel  8ply 100% acrylic)  
        Flamingo: 8 ply weight acrylic Pink, white, silver/grey and scrap black yarn. (I have used Moda Vera Marvel  8ply 100% acrylic
2.      3.25mm /US-3, 100cm/40" circular needles for magic loop and DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge.
3.      Buttons/plastic safety eyes
4.      Crochet hook 2.5mm
5.      Polyester stuffing
6.      Yarn needle
7.      Embroidery needles
8.      Swan: Pink ribbon/ Flamingo: Grey ribbon
9.      Swan: White Ribbon 0.5mm wide, 40cm long/ Flamingo: Pink Ribbon 0.5mm wide, 40cm long
10.    Swan: White tulle 200cm x 13cm/ Flamingo: Pink tulle 200cm x 13cm

If you use thicker yarn and bigger size of needles you get a bigger toy.

Superhero Beanie

To encourage people to stay at home during this covid 19 pandemic, I have decided to share this Peppa Pig pattern for free.  Hope you guy love her as much as my daughter does.

Materials:
1.       8 ply weight wool (light worsted) or cotton in the colours listed below.
  1.    3.75mm/ US-3, 100cm/ 40" long for magic-loop and DPNs.

Colours for Superhero Beanie
MC    – blue
CC1   - light blue

Beanie size:
Toddler:  16”
Small child: 18”
Size: Toddler / Small Child

Knitterbees stitch dictionary:
CC: contrasting color (CC1= contrasting color 1 etc.)
co: cast on
k: knit
k2tog: knit the next two stitches together.
MC: main color
p: purl
Rnd: Work in the ‘Round’
sl: slip
st(s): stitch(es)


Superhero beanie:
Before we start knitting, cut a 60cm long MC yarn for knitting later, put the yarn aside.  With the circular needle cast on 88/96.  Join work in the round. 

Rnd 1-5 (CC1):  (k2, p2) repeat to end 
Rnd 6 (CC1): (k2, p2)2 times, k2, bo10, k2, p2, k2, bo10, (k2, p2)2 times, k2  
Put the 6 sts between the bind off sts into a stitch holder.
Rnd 7 (CC1): (k2, p2)2 times, k2tog, turn work, sl, (k2, p2)to last 2 sts, p2tog, turn work
Rnd 8 (CC1): sl, (k2, p2)to end, turn work
Rnd 9 (CC1): sl, (k2, p2)to end, turn work
Rnd 10 (CC1): sl, (k2, p2)to end, turn work
Rnd 11 (CC1): sl, (k2, p2)to last 1 sts, pfb
Rnd 12 (CC1): sl, (k2, p2)to last 1 sts, kfb
Don’t cut yarn.

Now put the 6 sts on the stitch holder on to a dpn.  Reattach the 60cm yarn that you have put aside and we start knitting flat.
Row 7 (CC1): k2, p2, k2
Row 8 (CC1): sl, p1, k2, p2tog
Row 9 (CC1): sl, k1, p2, k2tog
Row 10 (CC1): sl, p1, k2, p2
Row 11 (CC1): sl, k1, p2, kfb
Row 12 (CC1): sl, p1, k2, pfb

Now we go back to where we left off from the main yarn and we start knitting in the rounds again
Rnd 13 (CC1): co10, knit the 6 sts on the dpn (k2, p2, k2), co10, (k2, p2)to end.




Rnd 14-18 (CC1): (k2, p2)to end
Change yarn to MC.
Rnd 19- (MC): k to end,
For toddler:  Repeat rnd 19 until it is 11cm from rnd 18
For small child:  Repeat rnd 19 until it is 12cm from rnd 18.
Then we start decreasing.
Rnd 1 (MC): (k6, k2tog) 11 times  /12 times
Rnd 2 (MC): (k5, k2tog) 11 times  /12 times
Rnd 3 (MC): k to end
Rnd 4 (MC): (k4, k2tog) 11 times  /12 times
Rnd 5 (MC): (k3, k2tog) 11 times  /12 times
Rnd 6 (MC): (k2, k2tog) 11 times  /12 times
Rnd 7 (MC): (k1, k2tog) 11 times  /12 times
Rnd 8 (MC): (k2tog) 11 times  /12 times
Cut yarn and draw tightly close through remaining sts.

Cupcake beanie

Bobble beanie

Materials:
1. 8 ply weight cotton
2. 3.75mm 60cm circular needles/ 3.75 DPN or size needed to obtain gauge.

Colours for Bobble beanie:
Any colour you prefer

Knitterbees stitch dictionary:
co: cast on
dpns: double pointed needles
k: knit
k2tog: knit the next two stitches together.
mb: make bobble
p: purl
pm: place marker
St st: stockinette/stocking stitch. k a row, purl a row. (In the round however you must knit every round.)

Hat size:
Small: 2-4 years
Large: adult

With the circular needle cast on 96/120 stitches. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.  ( for every mb, you can change yarn to different colour to your preference).

Rnd 1-6: ribbed band (k1, p1), repeat to end of round.
Rnd 7-8: k all sts
Rnd 9: k11/14, mb, k23/29, mb, k23/29, mb, k23/29, mb, k11/14
Rnd 10-24: k all sts (15 rows)
Rnd 25: k23/29, mb, k23/29, mb, k23/29, mb, k23/29, mb,
Rnd 26-30: k all sts (15 rows)
Rnd 31-62: Repeat rnd 9-30 one time
Rnd 63: Repeat rnd 9 one time

Start decreasing from here
Rnd 64:  (k10/13, k2tog) 8 times 
Rnd 65:  (k9/12, k2tog) 8 times 
Rnd 66: k all sts
Rnd 67:  (k8/11, k2tog) 8 times 
Rnd 68:  (k7/10, k2tog) 8 times 
Rnd 69: k all sts
Rnd 70:  (k6/9, k2tog) 8 times 
Rnd 71:  (k5/8, k2tog) 8 times 
Rnd 72: k all sts
