Materials:
1. 8 ply weight wool or acrylic. (I have used Moda Vera Marvel 8ply 100% acrylic for MC, CC1, CC2, CC3 and CC4. Yarn in blue for MC, beige for CC1, brown for CC2, white for CC3, red for CC4 and black for CC5. Scrap yarn grey.
2. 3.25mm /US-3, 100cm/40" circular needles for magic loop and DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge.

If you use thicker yarn and bigger size of needles you get a bigger toy.
