zOombear

Meet zOombear.  This zombie bear doll is one of my first 4 zOombees collection. zOombear has an addiction for brains and candy or anything that is sugary.  Because of his love of sugary food, he has severe dental cavities, that is why he only have one tooth left.  Despite his lack of hand, he still loves his cuddles, hugs and kisses.

 NOTE (17-05-12): I have added an alternative pattern for the head for people who don’t want to add in the zip at the top of the head.

This pattern has 6 pages of photos, and written instructions so you can do it quickly.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Skills used: Basic knit stitch, increases, decreases, knitting in the round, basic embroidery skills.

Note: Since it is knitted in the round, there's no messy seaming, special for somebody who don't love to sew.

Materials:

1.      8 ply weight wool or acrylic. (I have used Panda Magnum soft 8ply 100% acrylic for   MC and used about 150m of yarn.) Yarn in dark brown for MC, light brown for CC1,  white for CC2 and scrap yarn black for CC3.

2.      3.25mm 40cm circular needles/ 3.25 DPN or size needed to obtain gauge.

3.      Pieces of wool felt in white, pink and light brown

4.      Brown zip (optional)

5.      Buttons / plastic safety eyes/ scrap yarn for eyes

6.      Stitch marker

7.      Polyester stuffing

8.      Yarn needle

9.      Embroidery needles
